Only Strong Women in this House.

A saying I dish out to my girls frequently is “We are strong women in this house”. And that usually comes after a tantrum or a bout of crying or in an instance where one sister was made victim to the other.

My hope in that sentence is to build women within my girls who define themselves as strong because when life hits them hard or it seems like it’s time to be a victim of their circumstances, they understand that they have within them the strength to say “No. This is not what my life is gonna be.” And they can make the right steps and choices towards a life they choose. And those steps are usually hard to make. They make you uncomfortable and frustrated and usually most people decide to take the easy way.

What if they were one step away from getting everything wanted but THAT step was the hardest to take?

My hope is that they will make the hard decision and do the hard things because it’s in those moments where they will define themselves and their lives.
