Soft but Filthy
Some months call for intensity. This one calls for softness with a little edge.
Soft but Filthy is about books that feel comforting, romantic, and easy to sink into… until they’re not. Stories that hold your hand and then surprise you.
There’s no required reading here. Just a mood. Read what fits it. Ignore what doesn’t.
The Reading Mood
This theme fits books that are:
Cozy but not boring
Romantic with heat
Emotionally warm, not heavy
Easy to fall into
Not the vibe this month:
Deep trauma
Punishing darkness
Books that feel like work
This Month in My Reading
Book Club Night
Soft but Filthy: Book Club Gathering
This month’s gathering is theme-based, not assignment-based. Bring the book you’re currently reading or one that fits the Soft but Filthy mood. We’ll touch briefly on what we’re reading, but this night is more about atmosphere, conversation, and being together than deep literary discussion.
Details
📅 January 24
⏰ 6:30 PM
📍 Hosted at our home
📖 Bring your book (no required reading)
What to Expect
A cozy, low-pressure evening centered around comfort and connection
Light conversation about what we’re reading (no summaries, no prep)
A themed cocktail and mocktail
A home-cooked dinner prepared by Eric, designed to match the Soft but Filthy mood
This is a come-as-you-are night. Read what you want. Stay as long as it feels good.
The Night’s Ritual: TBR Jars
We’ll also be making TBR jars together, a simple, tactile way to capture future reads without turning them into obligations. Add books you’re excited about, moods you want to read for, or titles you keep saving “for later.”
There’s no pressure to finish anything. This is about intention, not assignment.
Food & Drink
Signature Cocktail: Vanilla Bourbon Sour
Mocktail: Vanilla Honey Lemon Fizz
Dinner will be a warm, comforting, home-cooked meal served family-style; soft, indulgent, and made to linger over.
Dessert will lean cozy and rich. Nothing sharp. Nothing fussy.
Discussion Style
We’ll keep book talk light and organic. If it comes up, everyone is welcome to share.
A Note on This Space
This gathering is about comfort, curiosity, and being in the same room with people who love books. Not performing, explaining, or keeping up. Smut is welcome. Skipping discussion is welcome. Leaving early is welcome.
Soft but Filthy: Boudoir Minis
These minis are inspired by the same mood as this month’s reading theme: soft, intimate, and quietly confident with just enough edge.
This is not about performing sexy. It’s about feeling comfortable in your body and letting that be enough.
-
Soft light
Lived-in textures
Natural posing
Sensual without being forced
Think cozy, warm, and intimate; like the moment before something happens, not the moment you’re trying to prove anything.
-
Women who want boudoir that feels natural, not overproduced
First-timers who are nervous but curious
Anyone who wants softness and confidence to exist at the same time
You do not need to know how to pose.
You do not need to be “ready.”
You just need to show up. -
A themed mini boudoir session
Gentle, guided posing (I will tell you what to do)
A relaxed, no-pressure environment
Images that feel intimate, flattering, and true to you
This is a contained experience — not overwhelming, not rushed, not intense.
-
Soft but Filthy styling works best with:
Lingerie that feels lived-in
Oversized sweaters or button-downs
Neutral tones, textures, and layers
You don’t need anything extreme. If it feels comfortable and a little indulgent, you’re on the right track.
(Styling guidance will be shared ahead of time.)
-
You are never asked to do anything you’re uncomfortable with
This is a judgment-free space
Confidence is not a requirement — it usually shows up after
Booking
These minis are limited and booked intentionally to keep the experience calm and unhurried.
(Details, timing, and pricing will be shared at booking.)
